One of the basic seasonings present in any kitchen is salt. There are a lot of different types: table salt, sea salt, Himalayan pink salt, fleur de sel… all of which have their uses and their fans.

Salt adds a special taste to meals (a good taste!) and it has good virtues for human health (it should, however, be consumed in moderation), so clearly, we understand why it is popular.

On our end, Max is a big fan of salt and has even been using finishing salts for his meats for years. He is also a fan of all things spicy and truffle, so when he saw an opportunity to create salts with more funky flavors, he jumped at the chance to design some that would be to his taste.

We are therefore very happy to present our three new products: three sea salts with different flavors and intensity of spiciness.

BBQ Quebec Black Truffle Flavored Sea Salt

Black truffle is a flavor often sought after by top chefs. So, having this salt, made with grains of natural sea salt and crushed pieces of Italian black truffles, at home means having a “luxury salt” at home. (A salt that you will have paid, of course, at an affordable price. 😉)

Very versatile, this high-quality, fine-grained salt will wonderfully enhance your meat, seafood or pasta-based meals and will be a remarkable addition to your salads, cheeses or snacks of all kinds. Added at the end of cooking on a steak or vegetables, for example, it really gives a noble flavor to food. With each bite, the pronounced taste of truffle with salt will be felt on your taste buds, to their great pleasure.

It can also be used to flavor butter. Pour some over your mashed potatoes on your plate and, you will see, you will experience an unparalleled emotion when tasting them.

Mild, this salt is not spicy and has a rather umami flavor.

BBQ Quebec Sriracha Flavored Sea Salt

Sriracha lovers will be happy to know that not only is there a new product on the market that uses the famous Sriracha sauce, but it also has a little something extra. Oh yeah, this flaked salt has the heat of Sriracha, but also the crunch of sea salt, which creates quite the mouthfeel.

What makes it special? It blends easily into any dish, just like Sriracha sauce does: meats, vegetables… anything goes with it! In fact, it can even replace Sriracha if you want! And… just because you’re making soup or broth doesn’t mean you have to skip it! No, no; even liquids can be seasoned with this salt! Add it to your preparation and it will dissolve quickly and evenly in the latter and give it a nice little spicy “kick” to boot.

Even with butter in a pan before cooking your eggs in the morning, it gives an exceptional result!

BBQ Quebec Ghost Pepper Flavored Sea Salt

Also known as “bhut jolokia pepper” or “naga jolokia pepper,” the “ghost pepper” is very hot. This salt, made with natural sea salt and naga jolokia pepper, is therefore not for those with a low heat tolerance; it is the most intense of our three products. 🥵

The great thing, though, is that no matter what meal you're eating, you can incorporate this salt into it to give it flavor and a fiery appearance. You can even add it to your recipes to give them a "blast" of heat!

Be careful, we're telling you, these medium-sized grains are powerful! 🔥

The final word

If you ever feel like trying something different, you can mix our truffle salt with our ghost pepper salt to enjoy a meal that is both peppery (😜😜) with truffle flavors and spicy at the end.
