For the meatballs:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small yellow onion
- 1 green pepper
- 2 large carrots
- 1 handful of baby spinach
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 egg
- Montreal BBQ Quebec Dry Marinade to taste
For the sauce:
Ingredients:
- 1/2 bottle of Ketchot BBQ Quebec sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
Preparation:
- In a food processor, combine onion, bell pepper, carrots, garlic and spinach. Blend until you have fine vegetable pieces.
- In a bowl, mix together ground beef, egg and vegetable mixture. Season with spices to taste.
- Make balls with the mixture and place them in a barbecue dish (I personally use a Pyrex dish).
- In another bowl, mix all the ingredients for the sauce and pour everything onto the meatballs.
- Cook the meatballs on the barbecue using indirect heat until the meatballs reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
- Serve.
