The ash bucket, more than a container

Le seau à cendres, plus qu’un contenant

BBQ Québec, as you know, is a pioneering company in the BBQ field. If you have been a customer of ours for a long time, you may have already seen that we were selling ash buckets a few years ago.

It was a good product, but since charcoal BBQs weren't as popular as they are now, it didn't attract as many people.

Well, I can tell you that things have changed. Nowadays, what we sell the most is charcoal BBQs. In fact, people often come to me and ask what they should do with their ashes when they are done using their device. So we thought that bringing back the ash bucket was a "must". But, be careful, not just any bucket. A beautiful, well-designed BBQ Québec ash bucket . ☝️

What is an ash bucket used for?

Its main use is, as you probably guessed, to contain the ashes. When you're done cooking on your grill, you transfer the ashes into the bucket. By doing this, you're sure to dispose of them safely (I'll talk more about this below). In addition, you get rid of your ashes in an environmentally friendly way this way, because you put them directly into a container. No plastic bag needed. So far, it's already pretty interesting.

Apart from that, you can use your bucket for several things. You can use it as a storage space, to store your pellets, your pieces of wood or charcoal, for example, and protect them from humidity. Otherwise, it "looks" so good that you can also use it as a planter, you will be proud to grow your plants in there. 😉

How does it work?

Once you've finished preparing your meal, it's always best to clean the BBQ. And here, I'm talking about the grills, but also emptying the ashes and fat that have fallen into the bottom of the appliance. It's important to do this because ashes are very abrasive, so they can damage and rust your BBQ if you leave them in the tank.

Whether your ashes are still warm or cold, it doesn't matter. You take them (our bucket even comes with a shovel, so you can transfer the ashes without any problems) and put them in the bucket. Then you lower the lid of the bucket to stifle any air that might be inside and let the ashes burn out completely for 24 hours . (This is important, because you dispose of your ashes too quickly, they can catch fire.)

When everything is looking good, you can then compost your ashes or throw them in the trash. (And, by the way, what I'm telling you is just as valid for the ashes in your BBQ [charcoal or pellet] as it is for the ashes in your indoor fireplace or in your fire pit, for example.)

The special features of our ash bucket

Our bucket, it "looks". It is all black and carries our orange flame. We "designed" it so that it "fits" with all kinds of patios and always looks good. With it, your workplace will also always look clean.

In addition, we made sure that it is safe. It is made of steel with powder coating and has a raised bottom. This makes it resistant and the surface on which you place it will be protected from any heat.

We also made it super convenient. We didn't want you to have to go back and forth to empty the ashes out of your grill, so we made it pretty massive. You're going to be able to put a good amount of residue in there!

Finally, it also has a wooden handle that will allow you to carry it without burning yourself, a lid, an integrated shovel holder and an ash shovel. All the essentials are there.

What I like the most

If I had to summarize what I find the hottest about this product, I would say that it is its usefulness. It is very practical and it is a good alternative to properly dispose of your coal instead of waiting for it to go out to put it somewhere else.

Of course, it's also pretty "cool" that he's handsome. 😜

We hope you enjoy this useful tool and it completes your BBQ space.

Happy BBQ!
