The Booster Epic

L'épopée du Booster

In my field, there are products that we like more than others, favorite products, or products that we have worked so hard on that it is like a newborn, or even like the ring for Gollum . It's a bit like that for me with the Booster BBQ Quebec .

After all the time and love I put into it, it was still quickly set aside from its spice cousins, because it was the only one not to be a spice. Consequently, the booster had no choice but to make a shell to get through the solitude, a delicious shell that explodes in the mouth and reminds us... Actually no, it doesn't remind us of anything, because it's out of the ordinary and it asks us "JP, put more in your mouth!"

The Booster BBQ Québec is the best friend of your BBQ Québec spices or any other brand, if you are looking to give a BOOST to your spice. The Booster is our saltiest blend and is not designed to be put as a spice on your meats and vegetables, but well before putting its spice, mixed with its spice, or once on the plate. The mixture will excite your taste buds while remaining safe for your health. Indeed, you will not find Monosodium Glutamate or other non-recommended products. To give an umami taste, I used PVH (hydrolyzed vegetable protein) so it is even vegan ! Hehe

Personally, I love using the Booster with my brisket or pork shoulders before adding my favorite rubs, and even at the end of my cooking when I'm ready to shred or slice my cuts, I sprinkle it on the meat to taste. I also put it on;

  • my vegetables before grilling them;
  • in my salad with oil as a dressing;
  • on my steak once sliced;
  • on a tomahawk before putting spices;
  • in a wok with your shrimp mixture;
  • to give a kick to a salsa or even a pizza.

And even when my McDo fries don't have salt, I now have a miracle solution! It's also possible to mix the Booster in a blender a little then add water and mix well to have a delicious injection, a liquid to brush or even dip. Oh and I also put it on the ready-to-grill BBQ Québec chicken wings sold in grocery stores. With Tex-Max, it's one of my favorite weekday meals. All dipped in one of the secret sauce recipes that is on the back of the box... Ok I'll stop, otherwise I'll go cook myself some wings and won't be able to finish the blog!!!
