Decadent Mac n' Cheese with Prosciutto and Bedouin Cheese

Because we should always have a good mac n' cheese recipe on hand as the cold days approach, I'm sharing my decadent recipe with prosciutto and cheese from Fromages le Bédouin.

Steps

  1. Heat a cast iron skillet on the BBQ over direct heat
  2. Once the pan is hot, melt 2 tbsp of butter
  3. Transfer the pan to indirect cooking
  4. Cook the prosciutto at about 400°F over indirect heat for about 5 minutes.
  5. Set aside
  6. Add the milk to the pan with the butter
  7. Add the creamy Labneh cheese and the Akawi cheese cut into small cubes.
  8. Mix everything together, so that the cheese begins to melt. There should be small pieces of Akawi left.
  9. Add the previously cooked pasta
  10. Then sprinkle with Tex Max spices
  11. Remove the pan from the BBQ and crumble the prosciutto
  12. Add green onions as garnish, and serve!

*We added the Quebec BBQ chicken wings available at IGA in the presentation, for a perfect meal!
