Potatoes are an important vegetable in our diet that never stops following us everywhere. It is impossible to ignore them and stop eating them! They can be prepared in several ways, but the best way will always be cooking them on the BBQ.
What I don't like about a baked potato is that it's often bland and only tastes like the half-pound of butter you add to it once it's on the plate. Today, we're sharing an easy technique that requires no preparation and is sure to warm everyone's hearts.
Ingredients
- 4 yellow potatoes
- California dry marinade from BBQ Québec
- Olive oil
- The famous stainless steel potato holder from BBQ Quebec
Preparation :
- Take 4 potatoes of the same size and wash them.
- Preheat BBQ to 400°F.
- Brush the potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle with the California dry marinade.
- Place the potatoes on the potato rack so that the heat is distributed quickly inside them and cook everything indirectly on the BBQ for 40 minutes.
- Remove the potatoes from the BBQ and the stainless steel rack. Remove the still warm flesh and reserve to make good mashed potatoes.
- Stuff the potato skins with your favorite poutine or homemade poutine, then serve while still hot!
You can easily replace poutine with mac and cheese, sautéed mushrooms or even bacon, sour cream and shallots! The possibilities are endless, let your imagination run wild!
