You know, even though I am a carnivore, I always think of you and the different diets that exist. So, it is with pleasure that I give you a very inclusive burger recipe (probably even the most inclusive recipe I have cooked in my life), a vegan burger recipe. Oh yes, you read that right!
Seriously, this vegan burger is far from boring, it's stuffed and very "solid", I guarantee it!
Here's how to prepare it:
Required tool:
Ingredients (for 1 burger):
-
2 Vegeat X BBQ Québec burgers (seasoned with Montréal BBQ Québec dry marinade )
¼ cup macaroni, precooked
½ red pepper, cut into small cubes
Frauxmage, sliced, to taste
1 burger bun
Nashville BBQ Quebec sauce , to taste (optional)
Sauerkraut, to taste (optional)
Preparation :
Defrost the 2 burgers for a few hours.
Preheat the BBQ to maximum temperature.
Place about 75% of the burger meat in the Stuffing Tool (use the bottom to make a smaller burger) and set the rest aside (the remaining meat will be used to “close” the top of the burger in a later step).
-
Using the domed part of the Stuffing Machine lid, create a “hole” in the burger by twisting the lid into the fake meat.
Add the macaroni, then the pepper cubes and the frauxmage slices into the “hole”.
Cover the “hole” with excess meat and “close”, then form the burger by pressing on top of the burger with the flat part of the Stuffer lid.
Unmold the burger and make sure there are no areas where it is missing meat.
Place the burger on the BBQ grill in the direct cooking zone and grill for about 5 to 6 minutes, or until it comes away easily from the grill*.
Flip the burger and grill until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (be careful not to take the internal temperature of the stuffing, but that of the meat).
Grill the burger bun on both sides.
When the burger and bun are ready, remove them from the BBQ and start assembling.
-
For an even more pronounced taste, pour Nashville sauce on the burger and place sauerkraut on top (optional).
Serve and enjoy!
*If you are using a Pursuit 20 , I recommend using the Slide and Grill to grill your burger and give it nice sear lines.
Happy BBQ!
