WHY WORK AT BBQ QUÉBEC BY MARC-ANTOINE TRUCOTTE

POURQUOI TRAVAILLER CHEZ BBQ QUÉBEC PAR MARC-ANTOINE TRUCOTTE

Hello everyone!

My name is Marc-Antoine, I currently work as the manager of the Boucherville store and just before, I was the assistant manager at the Quebec store. So it is possible that we have already crossed paths a few times if you are used to going to one of the two stores. "Hello!" 👋

As I just told you, I've been working at BBQ Québec for a while now, so I feel quite well placed to tell you about how it's going. Even so, I hope to make you want to join the team because I'm telling you, it's really a great company in which you can grow and meet lots of wonderful people. 👌

That said, since 2020, as you know, we have all been living in a very special period. Businesses have not been spared, a whole bunch of new procedures and protocols to follow had to be put in place so that they comply with government directives. So the stores were open, then closed, then semi-open... in short, it changed all the time. On the other hand, it seems that challenges are made to be overcome, so that's what BBQ Québec decided to do!

To achieve this, the company was able to count on its existing employees, but hold on tight, it even had to hire additional staff to meet the new challenges! Indeed, the pandemic has led (and still leads) people to enjoy their yards and their BBQs even more and, as a result, demand continues to grow for the products and services available at BBQ Québec. The company then had to recruit many new enthusiasts to join its team.

Working at BBQ Québec is anything but routine! The company is growing and will certainly need you or someone to whom you may have shared its job offers throughout its history!

Some of my colleagues work part-time in the store (a good old "passionate sideline"), others are students who have their first job, then others hold positions for the online store, or to help in the warehouse. Whatever the position they hold, my colleagues always manage to develop a great career. For example, in the case of students, they are taught good work methods and in addition, they are allowed to improve their culinary skills. Everyone wins! 😉 Some people, like me, even started part-time and ended up holding a full-time management position later. I tell you, we get attached to our team and our work environment! 🥰

Working for BBQ Québec is also a way to meet people with diverse backgrounds. As in all companies, there are "old hands" who have been there since the very beginning, and "new hands" who have just joined the adventure and who bring new ideas since they (often) come from totally different backgrounds. The mix of the two creates a diversity that, ultimately, is one of the key factors in BBQ Québec's success.

Joining the ranks of BBQ Québec is like joining a new family. We trip, we have fun, we perform, we make good food, we succeed more often than not in the unthinkable, we work extremely hard, but above all, thanks to the whole team, an incalculable number of families, friends and couples end up getting together around a good BBQ and "creating" unforgettable memories! And that's fun.

Whether you are passionate about BBQ, looking for your first job, in the middle of a career change, or even looking for new challenges, BBQ Québec has one, or possibly several, positions that might interest you. The company is looking for people who like to be in contact with people, help and give good advice; bon vivants, in other words! 😁

There are currently several positions to fill within the company. I invite you to visit the page "careers" to view the different offers. Also, for the most persevering, I would like to mention that there are indeed opportunities for advancement internally.

Contact the store closest to you and we will take the time to look at how the team could put your skills to the fore.

Looking forward to meeting you!
