Description

A bit like Obelix who fell into the magic potion when he was little, Max fell into a barbecue!

In his parents' hardware store, he assembled barbecues for customers from the age of 12. He thus became a barbecue maniac. The one considered to be the "Master of the Grill", Steven Raichlen, considers Max to be "a young Steven Raichlen", which is saying something.

In 2013, Max and his brother opened their shop in their parents' home, but they quickly realized that demand was very high. In 2014, they opened the first BBQ Québec branch in Ste-Foy. A second one opened in Boucherville in 2015 and a third in Laval in 2016.

Book, radio, TV, web

In April 2015, he launched the BBQ au Max recipe book, which is for everyone who wants to have a blast while barbecuing! On the menu, decadent and original recipes like a surf and turf burger, pulled pork poutine or bacon millefeuille. In addition, there are also dessert recipes for those with a sweet tooth, crazy drinks and marinades to make your mouth water.

Max has also appeared on several TV shows, in radio interviews and in web capsules. He has also appeared on the small screen in shows such as Ça vaut le coup (Télé-Québec), Ça commence bien (V Télé), Salut Bonjour weekend (TVA) and Indice UV (Radio-Canada). He also participated in the show Boire avec Pierre-Yves Lord (TVA) and he also participated in the filming of a Ricardo show in 2015. Max also participated in the creation and co-hosted the show Oui Chef BBQ! (Max) in 2015.

The BBQ Québec company was even the subject of a documentary, Les Conquérants du gril, a series of 10 30-minute episodes, broadcast on Z Télé in the summer of 2016. Max also participated in the radio show Medium large, on Radio-Canada radio. He has also been seen in various web capsules on BBQ Québec's social networks.

Across Quebec

BBQ Québec innovated in 2017 by offering products throughout Quebec. BBQ Québec zones have been integrated into hardware stores, creating more than 100 new points of sale across the province, as well as in Ontario and Eastern Canada. Its ultimate goal? Nothing less than to position Quebec in the top 5 most famous places on the planet for BBQ.
