CHAMPION TURKEY BURGER

BURGER DE DINDE DU CHAMPION - BBQ Québec

At BBQ Québec, as you know, we are used to making huge burgers, either by stuffing the patties with cheese curds, for example, or by garnishing the burger itself with all sorts of unusual ingredients (but, not bad always with the traditional bacon 😉).
Well, this burger is just as impressive as the others, but it contains, among other things, onion rings, macaroni and cheese and a delicious BBQ Quebec turkey patty made with turkey, cheese and bacon. Oh yes, my friends, we are spoiling ourselves!

Do your jaw exercises right now, this crazy burger is big!

Required tool:

ThermoMax Jr. BBQ Quebec

Ingredients :

Onion rings, to taste
Booster BBQ Québec flavor enhancer, to taste
1 box of store-bought macaroni and cheese
Cooking cream 15%, to taste
Butter, to taste
1 Signature BBQ Quebec Burger
Bacon slices, to taste
1 avocado
½ lemon
½ tomato
Lettuce leaves, to taste
1 hamburger bun (with potatoes in my case)

Preparation :

Prepare the onion rings according to the instructions on the package and cook them on the top grill of the BBQ.
Once the slices are ready, sprinkle them with Booster before setting them aside, then preheat the BBQ to 550°F.
Cook macaroni according to package directions.
In a bowl, add butter, then stir in the macaroni. Then pour the contents of the cheese packet over everything and add cream. Mix the preparation and set aside.
Place the burger on the BBQ grill and grill for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until crispy and caramelized.
Once that's done, place the burger in the indirect cooking zone and cook until the internal temperature reaches at least 170°F (check the temperature by inserting the ThermoMax Jr. into the center of the burger). (Steps 5 and 6 can be reversed if desired.)
Cook the bacon slices in the indirect cooking zone or on the top grill of the BBQ (if, in the case of the second option, the heat is too intense, turn off the burners and cook the slices in the indirect zone) until crispy.
Cut the avocado in half and roughly chop the flesh into slices. Place the slices in a bowl.
Squeeze the half lemon over the bowl to release its juice.
Mash the avocado slices in the bowl and mix its contents until you get a sufficiently homogeneous result. Set aside.
Slice the half tomato into thin slices and set aside.
Grill the hamburger buns on the top grill of the BBQ or in the direct cooking zone.
When the buns are ready, remove them from the BBQ and start assembling. On the bottom bun, spread a portion of the avocado and lemon mixture, then add the bacon slices on top. Then place the lettuce leaves, the burger, the tomato slices (quantity to taste), the onion rings, and finally, a portion of mac and cheese on top, before topping it all off with the top bun.
Serve and enjoy every bite of this mega burger.

Happy BBQ!
