Before entering the smokehouse industry, Don Cary was a construction worker building grills for family and friends. Over time, he turned that passion into a company: Yoder Smokers.
In 2007, Don Cary and Joe Philips, the company's vice president, built their first grill. They continued to make them until they were able to sell them commercially in 2009.
Yoder smokers are built to last a lifetime. Made of heavy gauge steel, they can maintain a constant temperature for hours while using less fuel than other smokers on the market.
One of the strengths of Yoder Smokers is the company's attention to small details; details that end up making a big difference, like the offset chamber design to keep smoke movement smooth and temperature consistent, or the fully welded doors.
